Alaska’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities (and our fabulous straight allies) demonstrated our PRIDE for 9 colorful days in June as we celebrated Anchorage PrideFest 2008. Our theme this year was "Out is In - Alaska".

Anchorage PrideFest 2008 took place June 21-29. During this nine-day period, various nonprofit, social, and business organizations hosted special events at venues around Anchorage. A highlight of PrideFest was the Celebrating Diversity Parade at 11 a.m. June 28th through the heart of downtown Anchorage. After the Parade, we joined the Festival on the Delaney Park Strip from noon until 6 p.m. The Festival featured live entertainment, vendors, food, friends and fun, all under the glorious Midnight Sun.

To make this year’s PrideFest a success, we needed the support of our entire community... sponsors, donors, parade entries, festival entertainers, vendors, groups who sponsor events, hundreds of volunteers--you name it, we needed it. Thank you for making it great!!
